3rd Degree keeps the grooves gritting and thumping, so it's always a good time with this band. Get ready to boogie hard all night long.

Led by Aaron “Big Hands” Chapman, the 3rd Degree band is about as happy and pleasant a group of musicians you will find anywhere! Lead vocalist Emily Jack, the newest addition to the band, sounds very similar to the late, great Janis Joplin.

The band performed as the Toyota Grand Prix Entertainment @ the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach in April of 2009.  The band has also appeared as the
opening act for several great recording artists, including Leon Russell, Tower of Power, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Poncho Sanchez, Rod Piazza, and Shemekia Copeland.

The band is known for it's
audience involvement, and is especially good with children & families. The band offers "teaching moments" about the history of blues, Motown and rock in America. They perform a special tribute medley, complete with commentary, about Long Beach's own-Bo Didley. In fact, Bo Didley’s daughter appeared several times as a drummer/singer for 3rd Degree.

Some of the band’s signature favorites include a full selection of WAR hits, such as "Low Rider" & "Why Can't We Be Friends?" This band is always
extremely well-liked by audiences of all ages, cultures & backgrounds.

RECENTLY SPOTTED AT:
@ the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival.
This band also has been a major attraction at recent
"Concerts in the Park & Special Events" throughout SoCal, including:
• Candlewood Country Club Annual Blues Festival (since 2007)
• City of Fontana Concert in the Park
• County of Los Angeles Concert in the Park (Whittier)
• Hyatt Regency Long Beach Toyota Gran Prix Entertainment (2009)
• Ports O' Call Restaurant Lobster Festival (since 2006)
• Opened for Tommy Castro @ the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana.

NOTE: If needed, 3rd Degree can bring their own P/A & microphones if your venue does not provide these.
